This is how it all got started for me - sitting on my Dad's homemade Honda chopper.
It was a Honda 305 Scrambler and as my Dad put it "That baby would haul for it's day."
It had stock exhaust headers with VW tips, and the front forks were extended about 8-10 inches.
The front wheel is reportedly from a Honda 70 moped style bike.

All history pictures except my current "machines" are not actually mine but similar.

Motorcycles (and other motored things) have always been a part of my life.
My first few were a pull-start mini bike, a Honda Trail 70, and Yamaha 80.

Through my teen years,
I had a pair of  1975 Kawasaki KE125's,
and then a lime green Honda Express moped.

I had my first couple street bikes in High School.
Kawasaki LTD 250  &  80's Suzuki GS550L (picture is a 750)

In my 20's, thought I needed SPEED - 1989 Yamaha FZR600 - Smooth & Fast.
It got about 50 mpg.  Unfortunately, I had an accident and half totaled it.

I always wanted a four wheeler.  I had several years of fun on my 1997 Honda Recon TRX250
We had some good adventures together but I recently sold it to a friend to pay for a street bike.

We got this 1998 Honda Z50R mini bike for the kids to learn on.
They rode it for a few years (and a few crashes) but they outgrew it.
It was an all around tough, good looking, fun little bike...

I rode my 1996 Suzuki DR200 (dual sport) to work for awhile. (80mpg)
This was a great dual purpose bike.  Worked on the road but light enough for the trail.
We took some trail trips, but sold the DR200 after I got my Honda Rancher ATV.

The street called me back after several years.  I found this "classic" 1986 Honda Shadow 700.
The below picture is pretty much stock, with backrest, engine guard, and saddle bags.  I rode this bike for a few years while I customized it with low handlebars, pegs, levers, and a windshield.  Sold this classic Shadow after I bought my Mean Streak.  The Shadow felt a little short for my long legs.
